Meets every Tuesday at 6:00pm at The Center in Long Beach, 2017 E. 4th Street. On the first Tuesday of the month, we go off site for social activites. This is a group for individuals looking for a place to find peer support and positive reinforcement. We provide a safe place to explore new beginnings, coping strategies for your concerns while promoting positive mental health. Monthly HIV educational forums are co-sponsored by the Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, The Center-Long Beach, and the C.A.R.E. Program at St. Mary Medical Center. Forums change every month and can cover topics such as HIV basics, when to initiate treatment, understanding your labwork, newly approved mdications, nutrition, HIV and inflammation, research updates, and more. Forums take place at the Parr Health Enhancement Center, 1055 Linden Avenue, Long Beach, CA 90813. Dinner is served.
